Sorry for delaying in writing up for KrakenCon, but I had a long week of trips (3-4 hour trips per day) because I might go back to college for a game art design program (emphasis on might).
First, before I mention something that happened also during that week, I would like to say that KrakenCon was amazing. I love the atmosphere (thank you to the staff for giving us snacks and help us stay hydrated), the fans (thank you to that person who came by my table - you are a guardian angel for helping me! You know who you are...), and the convention overall. I definitely like the table space (there is enough room between artist in the back, which was perfect for artists and helpers to walk by, as well as the front, for people to walk around and look at people's art.) The location was wonderful, and the sound from the theater was just perfect (not loud to the point that I can't hear any of the fans).
Second: What happened on the second day.... I am sorry for everyone at the convention. I got an extremely painful tension headache to the point of feeling very nauseated (thankfully, I didn't need a bucket). I am sorry to the people who came by and wanted a commission as the headache prevented me from concentrating on drawing even one little line. Sorry for the artists who were across from me if you felt that I was being creepy by staring at you. I was trying to keep my head stable because looking down made me nauseated (looking up help somewhat to relieve my headache but not by much). Even when I took some pain relievers (thank you, my artist friend, for giving me these as they helped me a lot and concentrate just a bit on selling), I was still experience some pain.
After that, for several days, I was really groggy and made it really hard to draw anything, or even sign my name (trust me, it looked like scribbles of someone who was drunk). I even walked around like I was drunk because of how tired I was. And driving was dangerous as well, so yes, my trips were scary. (and no, I didn't have anyone to help drive me on these trips except for the last trip.)
So, yeah, that is what happened at KrakenCon. Thank you for everyone who was able to be patient with me and bear with me while I was suffering on the second day.
...Now on to Sacanime!
This time, I will bring pain relievers and stay an extra day so I have time to relax after the con. Also...hopefully, new prints...
